Abstract

BoⅡyou 859,a new hybrid rice combination was bred by Bobai County Agricultural Institute,through a crossbreeding between BoⅡA developed by the institute and restorer line 859.The character of BoⅡyou 859 was suitable plant types,high yield,intermediate growth duration,wide adaptability,good grain quality and resistance etc,when it was tested in regional trial of Guangxi photo sensitive group and different regional experimental tests.The average yield of BoⅡyou 859 was 7290～7890kg/hm~2,and the highest was 8300 kg/hm~2. It has passed the evaluation by Guangxi Committee for Crop Variety Registration in January,2005.
