Brief Discussion of Ma Zhi-yuan's Admiration for Tao Yuan-ming

Abstract

Ma Zhi-yuan's poetic name is Dongli,signifying his admiration for Tao Yuan-ming. One of the core themes of his work Dongli Yuefu is Tao Yuan-ming spirit,which is reflected in the only seven existing dramas. Thus,this paper proves Ma Zhiyuan's admiration for Tao Yuan-ming from aspects of Dongli complex,lifestyle,and life interest in order to further understand Ma Zhiyuan's acceptance of Tao Yuan-ming and Tao Yuan-ming's hermit culture.
