Abstract
Yam anthracnose is a newly occurring and important leaf disease in Liaoning province.According to its characteristics of morphology and sequence analysis of rDNA- ITS,the pathogen was identified as Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. Its optimum growth conditions were yam dextrose medium,28 degrees,pH 5,dextrose as carbon source and protein as nitrogen source. Light had no significant effect on its colony growth. The optimum growth conditions of pathogen sporulation were yeast protein medium, tragantine as carbon source and protein as nitrogen source, and light conditions were good for pathogen sporulation. The most suitable conditions for conidial germination were 28 degrees,pH 6 and RH 100%.
