Abstract
The purpose of the research was to confirm the species and the major biological characteristics of the pathogen of anthracnose on tea plants. One anthracnose pathogen was isolated from the infected leaves of Tea in Yongchun city,Fujian Province. The identification of the pathogen was carried out with the morphological and molecular methods, and the biology characteristics of the pathogen were studied as well. The results showed that the pathogen was identified as Colletotrichum gloeosporioides based on the morphological characteristics and the rDNA-ITS sequence. The optimum conditions for the pathogen mycelia growth were as follows, the medium was PSA medium, the optimum temperature was 26℃,the optimum pH value was 5.5,and the continuous light was favorable for mycelia growth.
