Abstract

Objective:To analyze the clinical feature, the changes in radiography and the pathological findings of sarcoidosis and facilitate diagnosis and treatment of sarcoidosis. Methods:Analyze 12 sarcoidosis patients which confirmed by pathological findings, involved from 1997 to 2008 and their clinical data.Results:(1)Main are middle aged patients:the average age is 56.There were more female patients than male:9 female patients(75%) and 3 male patients(25%).(2)Among these patients,non-specificity representation as the initial clinical representation,3 patients had fever(25%),3 patients had hypodynamia(25%),4 patients had weight loss(33.3%),1 patient had night sweat(8.3%).Cough,expectoration were identified with respiratory symptoms as the initial clinical representation, which is the most.Superficial lymphadenectasis were the common representation as initially presented extrapulmonary symptoms.2 cases showing positive result in purified protein derivative skin test.(3)Stage: there were 1,5,4 and 2 cases in stage 0,I,II,and III respectively.(4) Chest X-ray and lung CT scan results of 12 cases showed symmetrical lymph node enlargement in the bilateral lung hilus and mediastinum. Conclusion:Sarcoidosis is easy to misdiagnosis, and the rate is 25%.It should be alert to this disease when the patients have the above chest X-ray,CT features.A possible tissue pathological examination should be made for the prevention of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis. The major methods to reduce misdiagnosis are to know well about clinical characteristics, imageologymanifestation and laboratory exam about sarcoidosis.
