Abstract

Objective To observation of Telmisartan and Felodipine affected on cystatin(CYS-C),urea nitrogen, serum creatinine, creatinine clearance rate(Ccr) in the treatment of patients with hypertension and renal insufficiency. Methods Sixty patients with 2,3 grade essential hypertension were divided into treatment group and control group, each group include 30patients.The treatment group received telmisartan, felodipine and control group received felodipine, metoprolol oral. After 8 weeks. Two groups were compared cystatin(CYS-C),urea nitrogen, serum creatinine,Ccr changes. Results In treatment group,(CYS-C),urea nitrogen, serum creatinine and Ccr were significantly different before and after treatment, was statistically significant. In control group,cystatin(CYS-C),urea nitrogen, serum creatinine and Ccr difference were not significantly different before and after treatment, not statistically significant. Conclusion In the process of antihyperten-sion,Telmisartan could protect renal function and delay renal failure.
