Abstract
Database is the core of converter sub-lance control system. The database design process was introduced in detail which embarked from required analysis of the control system. Data flow diagrams and ER diagrams were used to describe the requirement model and the conceptual model of the database respectively. The triggers were extensive applied in the logical structure design process. It's helpful to remove part of tasks from the control system to the database system and because of that which the operating pressure of the control system would reduce. The results show that the designed database can satisfy very well of the development of the system. What more important is that the database can realize real-time data collection and management. The calculation and analysis of data are also realized at the same time.
