The Deed Commentary of Guo Jin Who Was the Famous General in the Initial Stage of Northern Song Dynasty

Guo Jin was the famous general in guarding the northern territory in the initial stage of Northern Song Dynasty. Because he was famous at directing military operations and strict in administering the army, Guo Jin enjoyed high reputation in a period of time. In the period of Song Tai Zu, Guo Jin had defended the region of the Xisan Mountain for a long time, who forcefully beat back the assault of the army of Bei Han and Qi Dan, and ensured the safety of the garrison area. Therefore he was highly evaluated by Song Tai Zu.After he ascended the throne, Song Tai Zong extremely adopted the jealous and suppressive attitude towards the generals. So although Guo Jin gained lots of the military exploits in guarding the border area and the battlefield of mounting punitive expedition to Bei Han, he was forced to commit suicide finally. All his life and achievements and the final ending, is similar to that of Yang Ye.
