A Further Discussion of "Modernity" and the Studies of Modern Chinese Literature

In recent years, there are some arguments if can be taken as a new theoretical perspective in the studies of modern Chinese literature. For or against, a theory realizes its value in its practical function. Through the analyses of the following three directions, i. e. to break through the ideological grid of a concept, to undo the traditional polarization in thinking and to modify the existing criteria of value judgment, we will find that modernity as a new perspective may help to advance and deepen the studies of modern Chinese literature.
