Abstract

Objective To evaluat of efficacy of combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine in treatment of ulcerative colitis. Methods Ninty patients with ulcerative colitis were divided into control group and observation group.Control group: sulfasalazine tablet, injection of hydrocortisone sodium succinate plus saline,as retention enema.observation group: treatment methods in the control group, plus Chinese proprietary retention enema, and oral medicine decoction. Results Markedly effective rate was 73.33%(33/45) in observation group,it were higher than 48.89%(22/45) in control group with there was a significant difference(P0.05),the total efficiency was 100.00%(45/45)in observation group,it was higher than 86.67%(39/45) in control group with there was a significant difference(P0.05)No significant adverse effects in both groups. Conclusion Combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of ulcerative colitis good efficacy, and safe.
