Abstract
The ionic liquid of 1-hexyl-pyridinium tetrafluoroborate(HPyBF4) was synthesized and characterized.Ethyl acetate was synthesized using HPyBF4 as catalyst and solvent in reaction distillation.The influence of reflux ratio,feed ratio, amount of HPyBF4and the recycle times of ionic liquid on catalysis activity was studied,indicated that HPyBF4,as Lewis acid,has both catalytic activity and excellent selectivity.There was no any apparent loss in the conversion and selectivity after ionic liquid was used 5 times.The optimization was: feed radio:n(acetic acid)∶n(ethanol) =1.1∶1.0,amount of HPyBF4:n(acetic acid)∶n(HPyBF4)=8.0∶1.0,reflux ratio=3.0.
