Abstract

Freeform headlamp is one of the headlamps with great potentialities.The reflector of a freeform headlamp is a freeform surface which cannot be defined by mathematical functions and the design of which has always been a difficulty in the process of headlamp design.Designing a freeform headlamp was focused on by using computer simulation design.It mainly included: light source modeling,freeform reflector design and headlamp illuminating effect simulation.The practical designing result was given.
