Abstract
This paper takes the design of an asphalt mixing equipment for the background,in order to study the reasonability of the lifting mechanism part of the mixer and find whether the equipment can do the desired movement and the vital part can meet the requirements on the mechanical properties. The simulation model of lifting mechanism of asphalt mixing equipment was established and the layout of it was accomplished by using virtual prototype technology. The simulation and force analysis of set square was done, then the stress analysis of it was completed with Finite Element Method. It proves the design of lifting mechanism parts is rational.Using the virtual prototype technology and finite element analysis, not only reduces the manufacturing cost of the early prototype, but also saves a lot of time.It provides a theoretical basis for the design.
