Abstract
Objective:To detect the level of soluble vascular endothelial factor receptor-1 mRNA in the placenta of preeclampsia patients and their relation to the pathogenesis of preeclampsia. Methods:Expression of sFlt-1 mRNA in placenta from 25 cases of preeclampsia(8 mild preeclampsia,17 sever preeclampsia) and 15 cases of normal term pregnant(control group) was detected by semi-quantitative RT-PCR.Results:(1)Expressions of sFlt-1 mRNA in placentas were both detected in preeclampsia and normal group.(2)The levels of sFlt-1 mRNA in the mild and severe groups were higher than normal group.(P0.01) Conclusion:Abnormal expression of sFlt-1 in placenta might be related with preeclampsia and play a role in the pathophysiological process of preeclampsia.
