Abstract
The development history of sequence stratigraphy is analyzed in this article.Three stages are divided about the sequence stratigraphy and the stage of comprehensive development.Four achievements are concluded which are enriching the geology theory,becoming a new way to the geology,generating new subjects and uplifting the research of geology from the qualitative to the quantitative analysis.And five shortcomings are proposed.
