Development of the study of continental sequence stratigraphy in China

At present,sequence stratigraphy is popular all over the world. In China, many experts pay more attention to continental sequence stratigraphy and make it a focus of study. This paper chiefly summarizes basic conceptions and principles in different phases of continental sequence stratigraphy study as well as the new technologies and methods according to its development order. It expects that the sequence stratigraphy-continental sequence stratigraphy-high resolution sequence stratigraphy can be formed a systemic, comprehensive and developing understand to this discipline.
