Clinical analysis of the therapy and crown of mandibular molars with furcation involvement

Abstract

Objective:To explore the conservative methods of crown to treat mandibular molars with furcation involvement.Method:46 mandibular molars with furcation involvement were treated by root canal therapy and root canal preparation. Then medical canal and distal canal were separated and casted post were made.The molars were restored with caryopivot crown as the form of premolars.Result:The success rate was 94.57% after 8 to 36 months follow-up.Conclusion:The casted post after root canal therapy can save the molars with furcation involvement and restore the functions of them.
