Abstract
The garden of Prince Li is located in the western suburb of Beijing in Qing Dynasty,and belonged to Yue family after 1911. The layout of the garden is dominated by a central axis and the buildings are arranged symmetrically. The numerous rockeries with powerful style present fine landscapes in the garden,and the forms of buildings and the species of the trees and flowers are varied. Based on the materials and survey,the evolutionary history and the characters of garden design are explored.
