Abstract
Objective To investigate the early clinical curative effect of sub-bowman's keratomileusis(SBK)on myopia and its complications during the surgery. Methods Thirty-six patients(72 eyes)with myopia were treated with SBK by Moria OUP-SBK microkeratome in our hospital from February 2009 to May 2009.Clinical data including the visual acuity, remained diopter, corneal flap thickness ad complications were retrospectively analyzed. Results The uncorrected visual acuity at 1 month after surgery was from 0.5 to 1.5 with an average of 1.05±0.19,which was more than or equal to 0.8 and 1.0 in 70 eyes(97.22%)and 65 eyes(90.28%),respectively.The best corrected visual acuity of all eyes after surgery achieved or exceeded that before surgery. The mean remained spherical equivalent was(+0.05±0.57)D(from-0.88 D to +0.88 D),63% of which was between-0.5 D and +0.5 D.The mean corneal flap thickness was(97.39±5.73)μm(from 87 μm to 119 μm).During the surgery, hemorrhage and epithelium defect in the edge of corneal flap appeared in 9 eyes(12.50%)and 4 eyes(5.56%),wrinkle in the upward of flap was found in 1 eye(1.39%).There was no free flap, button hole flap, breaking flap and significant pain. Conclusion SBK is safe, effective and accurate on myopia with little damage.
