The Globalized Cultural Effect and the Prospect of Ethnic Culture

Globalization makes a gradual achievement in terms of its special effects in the cultural field.Culture conflicts and culture blending constitute the unique cultural landscape in the era of globalization.There are two antagonistic perspectives about the globalized cultural system: single homogeneity and multivariate coexistence.The opposition actually reflects the fundamental conflict in the cultural globalization,which is between cultural universalism and cultural specialness.Such contradiction has become the basic problem in global culture.In the age of globalization,we should pay special attention to the relationship between diversity and unity in global cultural interaction so as to promote the healthy development of the culture,to participate in the global cultural interaction on a basis of cultural independence,to make a balance between the diversity and unity of local culture and global culture and to oppose the so-called ethnic integration myth.
