Abstract

Objective To compare the contents of flavonoids in Hawthorn leaves of different growth stages.Methods The contents of flavonoids were determined by UV-spectrophotometry and HPLC.Results At different growth stages,the contents of total flavonoids and 2-O-Rhamnosylvitexin were the highest in August;afterwards,the content of flavonoids decreased.Conclusion August was appropriate time in order to obtain flavonoids components from Hawthorn leaves.
