Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of omeprazole on the pharmacokinetics of domperidone in rats.METHODS Ten healthy male Wistar rats were divided into 2 groups and received i.g.administration of domperidone alone or combination of omeprazole and domperidone, respectively. The plasma concentration of domperidone was determined by LC-MS/MS.RESULTS The pharmacokinetic parameters of domperidone in healthy rats after i.g.administration of domperidone alone and combination of omeprazole and domperidone were as follows: tmax(0.80±0.11) and(1.20±0.45) h,ρmax(103.0±26.6) and(72.6±9.23) μg·L-1(P0.05).There was no significant difference for the other pharmacokinetics parameters between the 2 groups(P0.05).CONCLUSION The absorption of domperidone was delayed and decreased when coadministered with omeprazole.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
