Abstract

Citizenship education has been taken into account from the beginning of America and has already been held on for more than two hundred years.It is worth studying the practice of citizenship education in America.The essay ana-lyzes content,approaches and outcomes of American citizenship education from the beginning of the nation to civil war,holding that its content were civic virtues and values of mid-class,main approach was citizenship transmission and some achievements was gotten.
