Abstract
In order to evaluate,the effects of the middle route of China's South-to-North Water Transfer Project (mr-snwtp) on the water bloom in the middle-down stream of Hanjiang River, according to the analyzed conclusions about the reasons and key factors of Hanjiang's water bloom, the probability of Hanjiang's water bloom was analyzed qualitatively. The probability of Hanjiang's water bloom was calculated quantitatively by applying dynamic model of eutrophication and stochastic analogy method. The results indicate that the probability of water bloom in Hanjiang River will increase when the 82 × 108 m3 scheme and 145 × 108 m3 scheme of mr-snwtp are implemented, but the diversion project from the Yangtze River to the Hanjiang River will markedly decrease the probability of water bloom in Hanjiang river. The water pollution control of Hanjiang River itself is the most basic measure to reduce the probability of Hanjiang's water bloom. The joint regulation of Danjiangkou reservoir increasing discharge and Three Gorge power station decreasing discharge in drought period will reduce the probability of Hanjiang's water bloom.
