Abstract

Objective: To disscuss the significance of serum IL-6,hs-CRP levels determination in children mycoplasma pneumonia(MPP) treatment. Methods: The levels of serum IL-6,hs-CRP were detected before and after treatment in 45 MPP children(MPP group) which were diagnosed from March 2010 to March 2011 in our hospital, and in the same period,30 healthy children were selected as control group. Results: Children of the MPP groups before treatment of serum IL-6 and hs-CRP levels were(17.65±2.50)mg/L and(25.32±3.80)mg/L respectively, ware higher than the control group, which had significant difference(t=4.47,4.81,P0.01);Children after treatment group of MPP serum IL-6 and hs-CRP levels were(7.42±0.87)mg/L and(2.56±0.45)mg/L respectively, were lower than the that before treatment, with had significant difference(t=6.11,11.59,P0.01);Children after treatment group of MPP serum IL-6 and hs-CRP compared with controls had no significant difference(t=0.48,0.21,P0.05).Conclusion: The levels of IL-6,hs-CRP increased significantly,it suggests that they have an important role in pathogenesy of MPP and has significant value in the early diagnosis and treatment.
