Correlation analysis of children patients with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia and cytokine

Abstract

Objective To investigate the correlation of children patients with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP) and cytokine. Methods 61 cases of MPP children in Taian Central Hospital were selected as the experimental group, including 27 cases of severe patients and 34 cases of mild patients. Additionally,37 cases of healthy children who were given physical examination were selected as the control group. The levels of serum interleukin-15(IL-15) and IL-17 of the two groups were detected by ELISA method. The levels of serum IL-15 and IL-17 were compared among severe group, mild group, and control group. The serum IL-15 and IL-17 levels of acute and convalescent period were compared between severe group and mild group. Results ①The levels of serum IL-17 and IL-15 in severe group were significantly higher than those in mild group and control group(P< 0.05),and the levels of above indexes in mild group were significantly higher than those in control group(P< 0.05).②The levels of serum IL-17 and IL-15 during acute period of severe group were significantly higher than those in the recovery and control group(P< 0.05).③The levels of serum IL-17 and IL-15 during acute and convalescent period in MPP severe group were significantly higher than those in mild group(P<0.05). Conclusions The severity of MPP increases as IL-15 and IL-17 levels rise, both of which can be used as the MPP judging severity indexes.
