Abstract
Harmony is good. This is central idea of aesthetic tradition of Chinese nation, and is closely related to their world outlook and outlook on life. The aesthetic thinking of considering harmony to be good that was formed on basis of unique concept of Chinese nation that the heaven and man are combined into had already become a kind of popular thinking during China's ancient Qin Dynasty. After it was developed by Confucianism and Taoism in two directions of advocating harmony between man and society on one hand, and between man and nature on other, by process of promoting mutual supplementation and mutual combinatin of two directions, and through artistic practice and theoretical summarization during many dynasties, thinking of considering harmony to be excellent has become a distinctive aesthetic tradition of Chinese nation.
