Abstract

Avian influenza (AI) maternal antibody levels were tested regularly in new-birth ducks and geese, and the growth kinetics of H5 AIV HI antibody levels were evaluated after first vaccination and boost immunization. The results were as follows. The H5 subtype vaccines could elicit good immune responses in 3 old-days ducks and geese. H5 AIV maternal antibody levels of the new-birth geese declined regularly at 1 HI titer unit per four days. The presence of maternal antibody could certain interfere with growth of HI antibody. The HI antibody leveland maintenance time of the antibody were different between first and boost immunization. The peak of HI titer appeared on day 25-30 after immunization, then decreased quickly.
