Research on Li Ji-qian's Being Conferred

In the early stage of Song dynasty,especially in the period between Song Tai-zong and Song Zhen-zong emporer,Li Ji-qian set up a separatist regime by force of arms and Xiazhou was the center of the regime.He combated Song dynasty for many years.He constantly enlarged his political,economic and mititary forces and the regime became the base of the Xixia dynasty erected by Yuan-hao.In the period of Song Tai-zong,Li Ji-qjan surrendered to Song dynasty,but he betrayed Song dynasty soon.From then on,he invaded Song dynasty continuously.In the early stage of Song Zhenzong,owing to people's misery resulted by the long-term warfare,Li Ji-qian surrendered himself to Song dynasty again.Because of the need of stability,Song Zhen-zong agreed and awarded Li Ji-qian surname and title.
