Abstract

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect and adjustment to plasma ET and serum TNF-α in the essential hypertension(EH) with acupuncture at Fengchi point. Methods: 60 cases of EH were randomly divided into the treatment group treated with acupuncture at Fengchi and the control group treated with Betaloc,30 cases in each group. They were treated for 30 days.Their blood pressure and clinical symptoms and the contents of plasma ET and serum TNF-α were determined before and after treatment. Results: After the treatment, the blood pressure declined, clinical symptoms and the contents of plasma ET and serum TNF-α decreased in the two groups with significant differences(P0.05).But between the two groups, the acupuncture group was superior(P0.05).Conclusion: Acupuncture at Fengchi has evident effect on essential hypertension as well as adjustment to the contents of relative cytokinin.
