Performance Evaluation of Sysmex XS-800i Automated Hematology Analyzer

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the function of the Sysmex XS-800i automated hematology analyzer.Methods Precision,linearity,carrier rate and repetition were analyzed.Blood samples from 60 healthy people were tested by Sysmex XS-800i and the Sysmex 2100 respectively.Four indexes including WBC,RBC,Hb and PLT from two tests were compared.The results differentiated by Sysmex XS-800i were compared with those by handwork.Results Precision,linearity,carrier rate and repetition studies of Sysmex XS-800i were all in the allowable range(supplied by factory authorities).The Statistics results of WBC,RBC,Hb and PLT tested by Sysmex XS-800i showed no significant change in comparison to those by Sysmex 2100(P0.05).The results differentiated by Sysmex XS-800i showed excellent correlation with those by handwork.Conclusion The performance of the Sysmex XS-800i automated hematology analyzer is satisfied.
