Summary of the Study on Zhongdu in Yuan Dynasty

In May,2000,the relics of Zhongdu of Yuan Dynasty in Mantouying village,Zhangbei county,Zhangjiakou city,Hebei Province was honored as one of the ten national new archeological discoveries in 1999. Great attentions of scholars in many fields were drawn to the discovery of the relics of Zhongdu of Yuan Dynasty. By keen research,scholars have made great progress in archeological and literature study and,they all have their own achievements respectively. And the range of study has extended from the identification of Zhongdu of Yuan Dynasty and its architectural layout to the analysis of the cause of prosperity and falling of Zhongdu of Yuan Dynasty,estimation of its cultural value and its pushing power to the development of local economy and so on.
