Abstract
Objective To investigate related risk factors of malignant thyroid nodules. Methods A total of 389 patients with thyroid nodules during October 2010 and October 2013 were divided into benign nodule( benign group,n =272) and malignant nodule( malignant group,n = 117) according to postoperative histopathological results. Clinical data of the two groups was compared, and the related risk factors of malignant thyroid nodules were analyzed using logistic multiple factors of regression analysis. Results The related risk factors of malignant thyroid nodules were maximum diameter of nodule, calcification, acoustic echo structure and nodule boundaries. However, abnormal glucose metabolism was not related with the type of thyroid nodule. Conclusion Ultrasound features such as the maximum diameter of nodules, calcification, acoustic echo structure and nodule boundaries may provide evidence for clinical differential diagnosis of benign and malignant nodules.
