Investigation of HIV Knowledge and High-risk Behavior Among Men Who Have Sex With Men in Nanning

Objective To study the HIV knowledge and related hight risk behavior among men having sex with men(MSM),and to provide the scientific evidence for effective intervention measure.Methods Convenience sampling and snowball sampling were used to select respondents.A total of 230 MSM completed the investigation by anonymous question naire.Results The awareness rate of knowledge of HIV transmitting among MSM was 85.24%.93.48% has had the anal-intercourse,92.17% has had the mouth-intercourse,and 83.49% has had mutually the masturbation.The age for the first sexual intercourse was 11 years old,and the average age was 20.88.73.5% of MSM had first sex with men and 26.5% with women.51.3% of MSM were homosexual,47.4% were bisexual,and the average of sex partners was 6.56 in the past year and 1.58 in recent month.The percentages of persistent in using condom when having sex with partners in anal-intercourse,mouth-intercourse were 72.44%,13.47% respectively during the last sex episode but they were 42.86% and 3.62% in the previous six months.11.22%.never used condoms when they had sex with partners in anal-intercourse and 62.18% in mouth-intercourse.Conclusion MSM generally have more sex partners and low condom use rate.It is very urgent to strenghen health education and behavior intervention.
