Abstract
Objective To improve the recognition of advanced gastric carcinoma by analyzing the CT manifestations of advanced gastric carcinoma. Methods The CT images of 45 patients about advanced gastric carcinoma proved by surgery and pathology in our hospital during these two years were studied retrospectively, and discuss the features of CT signs. Results Of 45 advanced gastric carcinoma, gastric wall thickening, mass, ulcer, central embankment, stomach cavity is narrow, lymphnode metastasis in the stomach cavity and so on.5 of 45 were Borrmann I(Polypoid orfungating type) (11%),8 of 45 were Borrmann II (ulcerative type) (18%),17 of 45 were Borrmann III (part ulcerative and infiltrating type) (38%),15 of 45 were Borrmann IV (infiltrating type) (33%).Conclusion CT can show the features of advanced gastric carcinoma and can make definite diagnosis,of surrounding structures invasion and metastasis in most cases and is helpful for treatment planning.
