The Study on the Traffic Congestion Countermeasures of Beijing

Based on the analysis of traffic congestion mechanisms, this paper studies the relationship between urban traffic demand and land\|use format, transportation structures, transportation systems in metropolitans by comparing these factors between Beijing and Tokyo The experiences of building the urban transportation systems are emphasized and several countermeasures are proposed to be comprehensively settled the urban traffic problems from the viewpoints of land\|use and transportation structures \;
