Abstract

[Objective] To explore the relationship between temperament traits and body development of children. aged 1-3 years [Methods] From Jan. 2008 to May. 2009,questionnaire investigation was conducted among children aged 1-3 years to evaluate children's temperament traits by using 12-36 month children temperament scale questionnaire. [Results] Easy type 31.0%,intermediate-low 40.1%,intermedite-high 10.6%,slow-to-warm up 10.9%,difficult 7.4%.There was no sex difference in temperament traits. The percentage of height and weight was 76.1% and 73.4% over average values in positive types of temperament,while in negative types of temperament was 56.6% and 55.6%. There was a significant difference. [Conclusion] Temperament traits are associated with body development status in children.
