Engineering geological problems of foundation pits of floodgates in the lower reaches of Yellow River

Abstract

Practices were analyzed based on experiences from engineering geological investigation of the foundation pit in the floodgate in the lower reaches of Yellow River.The analytic results show that there are many engineering geological problems,such as seepage failure,settlement and so on.The conclusion may be useful for the evaluation of hazards and lead to risk management in the field of dikes.
