Abstract

Rural areas are the important and difficult point of building an overall well-to-do society in China.The matters of agriculture,rural areas and farmer are important in Chinese reform and opening-up and modernization drive.Therefore it is the quickest and most effective way to enhance rural occupational education and to train highly qualified labourers and new-type farmers.The rural new economy,on the one hand,brings new opportunities for rural occupational education,and on the other,poses challenges to the development of science and technology,rural industries,modernization,marketing as well as the competence of farmers.Some corresponding countermeasures are proposed: construct and improve the service system of rural occupational education;design the structure of occupational education in accordance with the demands of rural labour market;implement the education orientated towards agriculture,rural areas and farmer;readjust the specialty and teaching contents to train rural human resources.
