Abstract

Objective To observ the changes of tear film after phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation. Methods Forty-eight cases(60 eyes) with age-related cataract who underwent phacoemulsification combined iwth intraocular lens implantation were chosen and the subjective complaints of dry eye, tear break-up time(BUT),corneal fluorescein staining and Schirmer I tset(SIT)value were analyzed preoperatively and 1 day,1 week,1 month and 3 months postoepratively. Results Comparing with the data before operation, the complaints、SIT and BUT,corneal fluorsecein staining scorse were all of statistical significance on the first day、1 week and 1 month after operation rsepectively(P0.05),3 months after operation only three patients still have dry eye syndrome, they had no statistical significance(P0,05).Conclusion The tear film have a significant changes in a short period after phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation, and some patients may have dry eye syndrome after surgery.
