Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of mini-invasive hematoma aspiration on changes of serum NSE concentrations in patients with acute cerebral hemorrhage.Methods 80 patients were divided into aspiration treatment group and conservative treatment group.Serum NSE concentration was measured at hospital admission and on 2d,4d,7d and 14d after symptom onset.The European Stroke Scale(ESS)and Activities of Daily Living Scale(ADL)were evaluated at hospital admission and 7d,14d and 21d after symptom onset.Results The serum level of NSE increased significantly at hospital admission.Peak serum level of NSE was found at 2d.NSE in aspiration treatment group was significantly lower than conservative treatment group at 4d,7d and 14d(P0.05).The EES and ADL was significantly higher in aspiration group than those in conservative group(P0.05).Conclusion Mini-invasive hematoma aspiration for cerebral hemorrhage can decrease the serum the NSE level.The aspiration can reduce brain damage in the treatment of intracerebral hemorrhage.
