Abstract
Electromagnetic torque ripple may cause vibration and noise in brushless DC machines(BLDCM).Motor drive strategies have direct influence on torque ripple.In this paper,the torque ripple principle was analyzed and the simple sinusoidal drive was introduced to eliminate torque ripple and noise in BLDCM.Then a simple sinusoidal drive system was accomplished based on the IC TB6539.Experiment was carried out to research the noise in different motor drive strategies.The result showed that the noise of the simple sinusoidal drive system was low compared to conventional square-wave current drive system in BLDCM.
