Abstract
Mencius' theory of Yi Ni Zhi(to understand the author's intention through the reader's reading) has exerted far-reaching influence on hermeneutics theory of Chinese classical poetry,and even radiated to the area of hermeneutics of Ci study.From the originator Zhang Huiyan to Tan Xian,they gradually completed the transfer from the meaning of author's Zhi(intention) to the reader's Zhi,enabling the reader to understand the text more clearly and giving the reader enough freedom,and promoting the development of hermeneutic theory in ancient Chinese culture.
