Abstract
The author gives a detailed analysis of the related ideas on the relationship between Tao and speech by Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi. In the discussion of Lao-Zi's ideas, the author gives a thorough analysis of Wang Bi's interpretation of Lao Zi. In the discussion of Zhuang-Zi's ideas, the author expounds Lao-Zi's own comments on the speakable nature of his unspeakable Tao. The author also makes some comments on the relevant ideas by other scholars.
