The clinical analysis of 18 cases of cerebellar infarction

Objective To explore the clinical characters of cerebellar infarction.Methods To analyse the causes,clinical manifestations,MRI and prognosis of 18 cases of cerebellar infarction.Results Atherosclerosis is the main cause.Pure cerebellar infarction is rare and the small infarctions are much more common than the mass infarctions.Clinical manifestations are complicated.MRI plays an important part in the diagnosis of cerebellar infarction.The prognosis is better in these cases,obstructive hydrocephalus is the main cause of mortality.Conclusion Recognizing the clinical characters of this disease and diagnosing in time can maintain a proper management and reduce the mortality.
