Abstract
The free-wing is a new concept and has promising applications for pilotless aircraft. The geometry of airfoils, which is proper for the free-wings,was numerically investigated and the results indicated that the airfoils must be featured by the S-shaped camber. The aerodynamic characteristics of free-wings with the same plane form but 4 different airfoils(GO741,MH45,MH49 and MH78 all have the S-shaped camber)were numerically simulated. The influence of the camber of the airfoils on aerodynamic characteristics has been presented. The influence of the non-uniform coming flow were also studied.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
