Abstract

The Chinese education in Indonesia has a history of 300 years,which began with the founding of Mingcheng School in 1690.The Chinese education in Indonesia falls into seven periods,that is,emergence,rapid development,setback,prosperity,decline,slow development,and flexible policy.In the 21st century,the Chinese education in Indonesia continues its development but it meets some difficulties like inadequate Chinese teachers,shortage of proper textbooks and students.
