Abstract

Composite powder of nickel-coated copper was fabricated by means of chemical plating process. The optimal conditions of chemical plating were obtained through studying the influence of various factors such as concentration of hydrazine, concentration of sodium citrate, concentration of thiourea, reactive temperature,pH value, etc on the deposition rate in the plating process. The obtained composite power was characterized with X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM),and environmental detection set(EDS).The investigation result showed that the coated layer of nickel-coated copper composite powder would be uniform, its thickness being 0.29μm,and the deposition rate faster if the concentration of hydrazine was 60g·L-1,concentration of sodium citrate was 50g·L-1,concentration of thiourea varied from 10mg·L-1to 20mg·L-1,reactive temperature was controlled as from 80 to 90℃,pH value was 10,ultrasonic power was 50 W.
