Abstract
Objective To study the clinical significance of tumormarkers combined assay in the differential diagnosis of pleural effusion.Methods80 hydrothorax samples were collected from 80 in-patients with pleural effusion.Among them,50 patients were suffered with malignant pleural effusion and 30 patients with benign pleural effusion.The concentration of VEGF 、CEA、and CA153 was determined by ELISA and chemiluminescence.ResultsVEGF、CEA、and CA153 in malignant group were significantly higher than that in benign pleura effusion group(P0.01).The sensitivity of combined assay with hydrothorax VEGF、CEA and CA153 in diagnosing malignant pleural effusion was proved.Conclusion Tumormarkers of VEGF、CEA、and CA153 have high clinical values in the differential diagnosis of pleural effusion.The combined assaywith VEGF+CEA is recommended.
