Evolution of the Object of Copyright Protection

The objects of copyright and their evolution are important issues in the theory of copyright and copyright legal system. The historical development of copyright legal systems in different countries shows that the protection scope of objects of copyright provided for in copyright laws expands to cover wider areas and the number of the elements required by copyright laws for the objects to get legal protection has been reduced. The development of society,economy,especially science and technology leads to the changes in the prescription of copyright laws in the,in the carriers on which the works arefixed,and in the authors' creative way and expression forms of works. These changes are the reasons which make the protection scope of the objects of copyright become very wide. Thus,the observation and research of the evolution of the objects of copyright protection and the reasons thereof are essentially beneficial to enriching the theory of copyright and improving the copyright legal system.
